This beautiful kitchen captures the ideal indoor/outdoor flow with a symbiotic combination of classic, modern and rustic features. Imagine a summer day throwing open the glass wall and bringing the outside in!
With Spring comes the undeniable urge to entertain and take the party outdoors!
For me so much of the ocassion is about flowers and tabletop decor that transport your guests someplace special.
This new twist on a floral centerpiece, combined with gold rimmed crystal and cascade of taper candles, creates a gorgeous and dramatic setting. And translates to a formal dinner or backyard BBQ!
Ever since moving into my house I’ve been fantasizing about remodeling the kitchen and transforming what is now a small efficiency space into a large indoor/outdoor kitchen and living room combo. The foundation is there and I see the vision, just need to get started on the project!
In the meantime, whenever I see a kitchen I love it gets saved to my “home aspirations board”, and this one from Amber Interiors is the latest one for the board!
Then when you add this beautifully worn oriental rug and view windows over the sink, you have an inviting space I would never want to leave!
With a new year, new chapter and fresh attitude, what better place to start than a bedroom makeover! My heart and my head are taking me from a darker palette filled with Asian antiques and toile patterns, to a light and airy space anchored in this soothing blush and taupe color scheme.
This mirrored console from ArHaus Furniture is the statement piece I can build the room around, and will also hold my TV and entertainment system. I see it styled with two fabulous lamps, my jewelry & perfume tray and fresh orchids.
Then I just discovered this pink chair from Pine Cone Hill that will be a perfect accent piece to tie the room together, and is functional too!
And because all my design follows the rule of three, I’m combining these three bedding sets from Pottery Barn for one lux look that combines rich patterns, texture and soothing grey, taupe, blush and natural tones. Add the velvet, silk and linen duvets, coverlets and shams and it’s the ultimate mix of elegant and cozy. I’ll never want to get out of bed!
For the end of the bed, I love this tufted bench from Pottery Barn in grey linen with turned black legs. It not only completes the bed, but also gives me a place to toss my handbag and lay out the day’s wardrobe selection!
The next step will be the nightstands and lighting…any suggestions?!
I love a classic mirrored chest, but wonder if I’m over that look. This one from Horchow is gorgeous and would work nicely with my bedding, while providing a lot of great storage.
When it all comes together this bedroom makeover will have a bit of Hollywood glam mixed with modern elegance, for a cozy sanctuary and dreamy night’s sleep!
Captured this garland idea on One Kings Lane and am totally inspired! The taupey color of the ribbon combined with the soft swag of the garland is stunning.
May be overly ambitious, but would love to replicate this on my stairway…
